Which reminds me- I've often wondered how many morgans, and coins in general, have been ruined by deep scratches caused by staples, etc. Things that make you go hmmmmm.....

thought it was MS86 and didnt believe em !
Yes, you were raped- although as rapes go, it was pretty mild. Yes, I think the seller "massaged" the picture a wee bit. No, it doesn't look pl at all from the images seen so far. This seller wouldn't be winning any awards in my book....

thought they was reputable ?

I sincerely hope that you did not pay more than about $20-$25 for the coin. I'm a bit worried and concerned because it seems that you thought it was a high grade coin.

Try crossing this thread to RCC ("Ray Charles Coins") with only the reverse photo, and you might get a 65. Stevie Wonder is still reputable, but hasn't quite acheived sainthood as a coin grader, despite all of his "POP 1" songs.
did not pay stupid money for it.
looking at the auction picture,i though it might go 64-65 and could be a nice little score.
got it today and was dis-appointed,thought maybe 62,it is pretty though baggy.
paid 24.04 shipped.

If you decide to keep it and you are satisfied with it, I still would not recommend having it certified. It would not be worth the investment.

by the time i pay the shipping and then eat the paypal fees for the refund,it's gonna net down to about 19 bucks !
aint no big deal and not worth messing with.
But i respect your opinion.

I would ask for a refund... the deep scratches on the cheek are not visible in the auction photo. His feedback seems pretty good… just respectfully request your money back; without any claims of doctoring the photo... you just want your money back.
Anthony
gonna sleep on it !
Thanks All

<< <i>Think im gonna send it to ANACS,just to see if it comes back in a BB ! >>
They'll just note the damage--PLEASE don't waste your money like that... I already own the coolest ANACS slab of them all I'm telling you, they DON'T bodybag unless there's PVC or it's counterfeit.
