Proud New Owner UPDATE in 1'st post

I think. My only pedigreed coin (Pittman) I hope to enjoy this for years to come.imageimageimageimageimage

Thought I'd share this. Recently I purchased this coin on ebay. The seller and I agreed to meet at a trendy downtown Detroit restaurant instead of risking the U.S. Mail to do the deed. He and his wife came in and we exchanged the goods and had a great lunch, which by the way he treated. Friendly, and very knowledgeable in his field. The coin is fantastic. Luster is just falling off this coin. I had to check the bottom of the plastic holder to make sure it wasn't wet. If I had any doubts as to the price, which I did, they were immediately erased.
Anyway for those of you interested in South African coins I thought I'd give you his Ebay store link. He told me of major SA collections he has just acquired and to keep my eye on them. I probably shouldn't be sharing all this, but Hey, I can't afford them all.null

Very nice. What a fantastic acquisition of a rarity for pennies on the dollar (compared to like-US rarities).

    Congrats!!!

I was watching that auction and wondering which one of my kids I was going to sell into slavery to buy that coin... Fortunately I resisted the temptation and still have all of my kids.
