Is the ANA truly POWERLESS and is Ebay so unbelievable greedy...

Hi guys,
Is the ANA truly POWERLESS and is Ebay so unbelievable greedy to do anything about these scam auctions!
Here’s a guy, listing a copy of an 1893-S Morgan Dollar under “Morgans-Mixed lots” … doesn’t Ebay have a reproductions category???
He is clearing misleading the buyers… just like the “Looks all good to me” … let’s laugh all the way to the bank and make Ebay money while we do it, scum.
Yes, we know what silver clad means, and we can spot the fakes but, not everyone is else can, and most people are trusting.
Does anyone have any info on what exactly the ANA/Ebay get together actually does? Is there any way to actually report these scammers?

What makes you think that the ANA is aware of this auction? Have you brought it to their attention yet?

Yes, I have called the ANA, they only have a voice mail, I've left messages about the "looks all good to me" scammer but... they don't call back.
There isn't an option to leave a complaint so, that's why I wanted to see the Ebay/ANA get togther in writing.
Sorry, but... these Ebay scammers just ANGER me.
My friend just brought a digital camera from Ebay, the guy shipped her just the camera, no cables, no instructions, no memory card, nothing but the camera... and of course, it doesn't work! And he won’t refund her money!
Ebay's suggestion was for her to leave negative feedback... she can't risk that because, there's nothing to stop the retaliation!

"Tiffany believes eBay should bear responsibility for the sale of counterfeit merchandise on its site, since it openly promotes 'Tiffany' counterfeits by using the Tiffany name as a sponsored link, provides a forum for such sales and profits handsomely from the sale of bogus merchandise and packaging," the company says in the complaint. "
Tiffany randomly purchased 186 items bearing their logo on Ebay this year, and determined 73% of the items being sold as genuine Tiffany were in fact fakes. The outcome could certainly effect Ebay's position that they're only a venue.

Thanks for linking the article.
pontiacinf, are you suggesting it is perfectly fine to rip off the careless or the uninformed? Very interesting point of view.
The article is really good… there’s no doubt that Ebay is a great place to shop however; there are too many scammers and Ebay has too much incentive to simply look the other way.
As for the ill informed… (yes, we know coins) however… what about Mom who spends $100.00 on a coin for her son from the “looks all good to me scum” (only to find out it’s not real nor worth $100.00) or the Dad, that thinks he’s picking up his daughter a nice Morgan dollar, that he knows she doesn’t’ have in her collection, (only to find it’s a counterfeit or copy) or the newbie to coin collecting… if they get screwed a few times… they will leave the hobby! What about the trusting collector, that’s not so savvy but simply trusts people?
These scammers know exactly what they are doing… “looks all good to me” … “sliver clad (buried somewhere in the description) … or the “I know knowing about coins” , then describes every coin with their Numismatic nicknames, such as “Morgans, Walking Liberties, Barber quarters”, etc… if they no knowing about coins… how do they know the nicknames? A little disclaimer does not make them legitimate.
