Picked up $500 worth of halves at the bank today and pulled out the following:
1 - 1964
1 - 1964D
3 - 1966
9 - 1967
7 - 1968
4 - 1969
and 1 - 1978 Yugoslavian 10 Dinara (Where the heck did that come from?) (I know, I know......Yugoslavia)
All of them were pretty far gone but what the heck?
At any rate, this beats the heck out of the $1000 I went through for 1 1968!

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

At that kind of return on investment for your time, the job opening at McDonalds you been thinking of just has to be looking a lot better now.

1- 1964
2- 1966's
3- 1967's
4- 1968D's
1- 1969D
The rest were later than 1970. All of the pre1970's appear to be AU or slider uncirculated. A few of them are mildly toned. I was pretty excited to find them.

As a side note to those that have tried, most banks do not carry halves but will order them for you at $500 a pop. All you have to do is ask. I order them from one bank then turn them in at another to avoid searching the same lots.
