Slab from the past NNCS from Marboro MA, circa 1986-88, a very tough slab to find. It took me over two years to locate one and when another collector asked me to get him one it took over a year to get ahold of one. (During that period I found six of them one by itself and five all in one group in Europe.)
One interesting thing about this company was their authenticity guarantee. If an NNCS slab was ever found to be fake they refund the owners stated value at the time of slabbing plus interest at a rate of 14% per annum. (Of course the company quickly went under so the guarantee did as well.) Many coins in these slabs were submitted when the market was hot. The example in my book is a York half dollar graded MS64+ valued at $1050 which was the going rate at the time. I bought it for $160 about 4 years ago.
<< <i>Heh, a dated cert. >>
Most of the certifications from that era were dated.
Conder I tryed to call the number but got nada...as you can see the coin itself has serious problems, Not sure what the black gunk is, I think maybe the coin is reacting to the slab itself. I didnt even notice the black marks on the reverse until I posted the pictures on ebay.

That's not black gunk. It's just the gloss from the coins luster. Sorta like black mirrors seen on proofs.
