Oh Cameron! or Conder! Awww heck...you're all welcome to join in:D

Is this a super rare new PCGS slab label variety?

The UPC code is only about half the usual height.

  • I've noticed both types of those bar codes. Some larger and some smaller. I don't think it is any major change but conder101 is the slab expert. I do mostly samplesimage

Yes, Placid, but that's the short bar code, TE (touching edge) variety. I've got an NTE!

It might be worth something if the coin inside were actually a "collector coin" rather than a circa 1960 Washington quarter.

I don't know, it might be worth considering as a new variety IF it is a consistant change and not just an occaisional oddity. I need some input from you people who submit coins. I know when the barcode was moved to the front they were to tall bar code type. Are all of the slabs you folks are getting back now short barcode (which they would be if a change was made) or are we seeing some of each type being produced. (I do think it should be at least a subvariety.)

Come on folks, I need information. Are all of your submissions coming back with short barcodes now or is it a mix?

I looked through what I have and I have a group with the short barcodes not on the edge.
These were coins I submitted and were all on the same submission.
I don't have the submission form anymore for when they were graded I think it was about 1-1/2 to 2 years ago.
The ones I have had graded after that submission have had the long bar codes.

    Here is one of them.

Geez, most people are sleeping, give them some time to wake up...image Anyways, I have 3 slabs, 2 of which are short barcode.

EDIT TO ADD: These were bought already slabbed about a month ago or more.
