So here are two half dimes I've been thinking about. I'm new to this series and not quite confident yet. I know the photos are small and suck but they are all I have available right now...please do what you can with them. Thanks guys/gals.
Question: AT or NT? (please give some kind of explanation) (I really don't know what typical NT on these coins looks like)
Question: Does this look cleaned? What do you think for its possible grade? (I'm thinking in the AU range)

Edit to add.... whether I'm correct on my opinion of these 2 coins or not..... I would personally not be interested in them for my above reasons.

Pic's are tough with these little coins.
That 1835 coin is typical of what you will usually find with these early bust coins. Most likely cleaned with baking soda at one time or another. A lot of coins with this "look" will still slab though.
Baley, nice coin, but I'm not sure if your coin was never molested at one point or another in it's history. Could be the pic again though.

The 1835 has been cleaned with baking soda, and as BigD said it's typical of what you often see these days. There's really nothing wrong with putting coins like this in a circulated set. The sad part is that the coin has VF sharpness, but 95+% of the time it's going to be sold as an EF.
