It all depends upon how big a crook the seller is. If the seller is total scum, others need to be warned so that that person will be driven out of the business.
Back in the late 1970s some dealers took the "fellow colleague" approach to scam artists who were selling wildly overgraded coins to non-collectors as "investment portfolios." (e.g. selling a shield nickel that was worth $45 for $1,550 or a 1921 Peace Dollar that was $100 for $3,000). These low lifes were numismatic vampires who were ruining the business and the hobby for everyone. They don't deserve to be treated as professionals. The deserve to be run out of the business.
I have also never received a negative feedback and hope I never do.
