People who get suckered into those "grab bag" lots deserve everything they get. Do these sub-morons actually think they're going to get something of value in these $20 - $30 lots?

It all depends upon how big a crook the seller is. If the seller is total scum, others need to be warned so that that person will be driven out of the business.

Back in the late 1970s some dealers took the "fellow colleague" approach to scam artists who were selling wildly overgraded coins to non-collectors as "investment portfolios." (e.g. selling a shield nickel that was worth $45 for $1,550 or a 1921 Peace Dollar that was $100 for $3,000). These low lifes were numismatic vampires who were ruining the business and the hobby for everyone. They don't deserve to be treated as professionals. The deserve to be run out of the business.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Most people who leave negative feedback on these grab bag type auctions do so because they got exactly what was promised and not something for nothing.
