Grading insert tag credit

Anyone have any experience turning these things in for the $.50 credit?
I sent a couple hundred tags a couple months ago, with the understanding that once the cert Numbers were deleted from the database, I would receive a letter stating I had Xx dollars credit to my account. I still haven't heard from them, so I called Customer service, and they are now trying to find what happened with them. In retrospect, maybe I should have insured them, but at the time it seemed like a silly idea to insure little bits of paper.

"Ken...Send them to us and we'll take them off the Pop Report and credit your account for 50 cents per tag.
David"
My guess would be that whoever would have to had gone through the couple hundred placed them in the circular file.

I thought so too...but I have a letter from PCGS's Keni Drake (accounting dept.) dated oct 27 2003 that reads,"...inserts are worth 50¢ each and is credited to your account. Once the cert have been deleted your account will be credited and you will receive a statement in the mail".
