1913 Type 1 Buffalo Rotated Reverse? Guess the Grade! (Grade Posted)

I am not sure it is a rare variety or what but here is a buffalo that has the reverse rotated fairly well. I have included large scans so that you guys can accurately grade this piece.

Is there any added value to the piece with the reverse rotated like this?

Is there green crud down at the shoulder area or is that just due to the imaging?

The luster isn't great. The strike overall is nice. The strike on the obverse is extra special.

MS65.

With regards to the premium for a rotated reverse; there is none. Buffalo nickels are so commonly seen with rotation, seeing a perfectly aligned coin is almost an anomoly.

Unless the rotation is greater than 90 degrees, you won't get anything extra.

LanLord, thats just the imaging. My camera is still at a friend's wedding and I just got my submission back yesterday. I had to scan the coin instead of using my camera. My scanner is a cheap-little HP 2200c from Wal-mart.

That is what I thought, usually on the low denoms, I would expect there to be a lack of quality control regarding rotation in the dies when these were minted.

I will post the grade in a few minutes.
