Here is a unique opportunity. These two dimes were struck simultaneously. Two dime planchets were fed into the die gap. The dies came together striking both coins at the same time out of the collar. Coin #1 as a mostly complete obverse while coin #2 has a mostly complete reverse. The reverse sides of both pieces have ghost images of the opposite sides.
It is remarkable that both coins escaped from the mint and that someone was able to get the two pieces together. PCGS has certified both coins and labeled them as a “matched pair.”
Here is a unique opportunity to own two spectacular error coins that share a common bond. They are "fraternal twins." Please send me a PM or email at billsnotes@tampabay.rr.com if you are interested in these unusual pieces.
