    I really don't care if they cut up Scott Rolen's jersey, but when they desecrate Jackie Robinson or Lou Gerhig's G/U stuff, I am outraged. Anyone want a piece of the Magna Catra? It has a piece of a word on it.

    That's a very nice full uni!

    Wouldn't I look nice showing up at the next family meeting at the local Sons of italy club wearing that!

    Wonder how deep the pockets are in those pants? They're gonna have to go down to the ankle 'cuz all this auction winner's pants have really deep pockets to hold all his coin! LOL

    Scott;

    This is the jersey that Donruss will buy and cut up into little band-aid pieces:

    Ryan Game-Used Jersey? Hmmmm

    It's a Broadway Rick special... and it's the wrong size! Perfect for those desecratin' card companies!

    I am going to bid on a Ryan jersey with sigs of the 300 game winners on it. I am sure I'll be smoked by a factor of 10, but I've gotta play with the big boys sometime.

  • well i thought another ryan collector would chime in.i'm just trying to stay in the top ten but the competion is fierce.i try to do some bottom feeding because i always have mrs. bundy looking over my shoulder.scott i will try and take a look at your second set and get back to you on them.i also thought i was going to get my a$$ kicked back down the registry ladder but i think this the most fun i have had collecting cards since i first started all those years ago.i'm also going through some tough times.both of my sons are having to go through speech therapy and where having to hire a lawyer to fetch on our school district to get them the help they deserve.but where going to make it like always i'll just have to buy some lower priced cards till things pick up.i would like to say thanks to conforti for the help with my ryan collection.you are truely the god father.
  • Hey Keith,

    Does the MLB tag look like it was put on after the fact to you?

    I also don't think that Nolan got into the Bartolo "the burrito" Colon sizes.

    Things that make you go uhm!

    Scott;

    Nolan must have been a little big in the a$$ or something... he wore size 46... although with today's baggy uniforms, that's probably a small... I swear Manny Ramirez must wear size 72!

    Dave, what will it take to get you join this bunch? We've even taken a liking to thinking of ourselves as a little Cosa Nolan family... we could use a good hit man who knows all about the fishes!

  • Ya cmon Dave,

    Insanity is contagious, the more the merrier. A few weeks ago I thought we might have converted Jackstraw to Nolanism. Join the collective and become 21 of 34. Remember resistance is futile. image

    Which set is yours?

    Dave,
    Join the Family, before Don Con becomes dissatisfied.

    Scott,
    The only Star Trek references I'm interested in anymore have something to do with the DS9 ads on SikeTV, lol.

    Brent;

    thc1993 is Dan Vandefifer... he used to have the Texas Heat Collection in the Master Set... he's only been selling for the past few months, but lately I see him as a bidder again... that's a good thing. Dan is very nice and passionate about his Ryan stuff and only sold out of necessity. Hopefully, this is a good sign that he's not selling anymore and is buying/collecting Ryans again.

    Keith,

    Good deal, that was the seller I asked about a couple of months ago, with an extremely low rating(100% but not much feedback). It will be good to get another Ryan fanatic back.

    I took a ton of stuff of Dan's hands when I got my tax refund (Naxcom strikes again). He was a great guy to deal with.

    Scott, I'm replying a little late on this but you pose a very plausible possibility. Broadway Rick's nickname is Broadway Slick... he ain't no good to this hobby. I say this on good authority as I have purchased raw 41 Play Balls from him (years ago when I was even stupider than I am now) among them a Bill Dickey... all sent to PSA for eternal plastic damnation and all rejected for -- you guessed it -- evidence of trimming. Also, the local watering hole here (Teaparty Sports) has had dealings with him that turned out even worse.

    I say the chance that this jersey is real is about equal to the chance that the Babe will return to the Red Sox, lead them to the Series to face the Cubs, then hit one more called shot at Wrigley off of Mark Prior to win Game 7 for Boston.

    Does anybody else get the feeling that people who don't have a Ryan set registered are afraid to post here because they think they'll get beaten up? That gives me a new idea for a sig.....

    We're so gay. Soon this nonsense will have gone on for 5 pages. Keith you already live in Massachusetts - if you like Nolan Ryan so much why don't you just marry him?

  • Brent,

    I haven't seen those ads on SpikeTV yet, but I dream about 7 of 9, she could borg me anytime. The best thing is she only lives about 20 minutes from my house. Her ex-husband is running for Govenor, so I think shes available.

  • Scott,

    Do you remeber the scene where Dax sees her ex-something and they re-explore old feelings. I'm trying to keep this kid friendly, but they can get married in Keith's home state now. I love that episode.
