My Central States purchases...

CoinAddict has been harassing me to put pics up of my new nickel
So here's the least crappy pictures of it...

It's really nice and clean, with just the slightest hint of toning below the date. It looks darker in the pics than it really is...it's really nothing. I've been looking for a nice one for a while. I bought it from Robert Astrich. Hopefully you can at least get an idea from the pics.
Second, I had been wanting to upgrade my Connecticut half, and I got this one from Mike Printz at Whitlow, who is a nice guy. Obviously, not my picture
It's got a nice, very light golden tone.

The half is MS65...a nice one, I think, with lots of luster

<< <i>Very nice coins. Ever notice how big the leaves are on the Charter oak, wouldn't want to stand under it in the fall. >>
Yes...definitely
The leaves are actually one of my favorite things about the coin. Very big, and angled all different directions. My other Connecticut has some very thick original toning which accentuates the leaves even more. The eagle on the reverse is no slouch, either! Connecticut is such a cool coin!
