<< <i>Stman....even before reading your last post, I will tell you "You're welcome" >>
it usually takes way longer than that for somebody to get it. Good clean fun huh? >>
Heh....I was doing those things for years...I am not good at making them myself, but, I do fairly well at the teasers.....at least, the brain type....not the female teasers
Since I am the new member reading this post, and I don't have any toned coins, and my only slabbed Morgan isn't back from ANACS yet, I will have to take a stab at #2
In doing so, I hope I can learn something in the process. I want to know what makes any specific coin a certain value??
I used to collect comic books as a kid, and I would buy them and never read them. I collected them to preserve them not knowing one day they might be worth alot. Most comic books aren't worth all that much, there are very few that are, and usually those are many many many years old.
With coins however, you don't necessarily need to have a 50 year old coin for it to be worth alot. What drives coins to be the prices they are? Is it the mystique, appeal, big score opportunity, etc? I know rarity is one factor, but what are the others? I'm sure everyone has their own reasons, but I would like to hear some of you guys' thoughts.
Additional bonus: "What am I thinking right now?" Get this and I will send you a $20 gold liberty
You're thinking : They must be nuts if they think I am sending them one of my $20 Gold Liberty's? HEHE Except you already ruled this one out as a possibility.
Are you thinking, I wish I was the one who fished all those 1861 gold coins off the bottom of the Gulf from the sunken boat carrying all those treasury coins?
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

I was thinking that a while back but not while writing the question.
jtwax: "GOD I need to get to bed!"
Nope.
stman:
Those toning types are very beautiful.
LALASD4: You are thinking that, I hope that I have enough coins to cover all the good replies.
Nope.
stman: You're thinking what a fool you are for thinking of giving the 20.00 Liberty away. Come on admit it I'm right.
Nope.
nederveit: You are thinking that you should be studying right now instead of paying attention to the boards....
Nope.
Stuart: You are thinking of how sneaky you were, because you will never have to admit that whatever the guesses are for what you are currently thinking , you will never have to admit that anyone got the right answer, so you will not have to give away the $20 Liberty
Nope. (there is a right answer.)
1234567890 I'll go against what everyone else will say... You can't wait to load it off on someone. Expecialy a YN.

Nope. Although, Freud would disagree, but I am right and he is wrong. He is dead. I am alive. I win. Let him deal with being wrong.

"If the winner is the person with the most replies, will XpipedreamerX be able to post more than Russ?"
Nope.
Some beautiful coins. (you have to own them to win.)
No one has posted any brilliant thoughts yet, and if you have, go back and make it more brilliant because it obviously wasn't brilliant enough.
Yeah, my rating is down to 2.8 with a total of Five, count 'em 5 votes. It just goes to show you that people would rather go out of their way to do something bad to someone than to do something good for someone. How many times do you hear "Oh, I think I am going to go to the town meeting to give that nice mayor a compliment."? PPSSSSSTTT... Yeah right. At least I know that I succeeded in taking seconds away from your meaningless existence by envoking you to view my profile and rate me.
Na, I'm just jerkin ya'll. You guys are alright. My next contest might be to get my rating down to zero.
As for the prettiest coin -- Here's a 1907 Ultra High Relief Saint Gaudens Double Eagle (Trompeter) that I WISH I owned but unfortunately don't -- yet...
