Vending OPC cards.......

I want to submit a bunch of vending 80's OPC hockey I have put away, I have compared these to "sheet cut bgs 9.5 cards ( rookies such as Oates, Robataille etc) " and they are very similar...

I personally helped open the vending case years ago, and these cards are as close to gems as you will get from OPC.

I just hope that they dont come back "evidence of trimming" or "tampered with" . I sorted through and picked out the best one's. (easily all 9's and 10's) they are mostly commons I need for some Registry sets I want to go for.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Thought A: I think you'll be all right on '87 OPC's, which I guess these are since you're talking about Oates and Robataille RC's. The cuts on '87s are certainly not consistently perfect, but they're generally cleaner than some of O-Pee-Chee's earlier efforts.

Thought B: Never assume that your submissions are easily all 9's and 10's. In my limited experience, it doesn't usually work out that way.

  • HB,
    Don't be shy.
I've submitted a ton of 88 OPC's (shown on my registry set) from vending.
Never had any problems. A few 10's, a lot of 9's, and few 8's. Have 2 or 3 copies of each card from that
set also waiting to be slabbed. Good luck!
Worst that could happen you get your grading fee back.

Do you have any Raw or doubles you are willing to part with?
  • Hey Hockeybonkers:

    What years do you have?
  • mostly 87/88, 88/89... have others somewhere in the basement... my buds most of them now.

  • Yes I believe he is. I am in the market for 1980 and 85 OPC Raw. And will also look at 1981 and 1986. Let me know what you have.

    Cheers,
