By the Grace of God and a great deal of hard work, I will soon be able to collect coins that I once considered far beyond my means.
Life is good right now.

I know, I know. I didn't really mean to start such a ruckus with that thread about spending 69K on a coin.
And I definitely didn't mean to sound like I was telling someone how they should spend their money.
Sorry folks.

John, I went through a phase were I collected coins "far beyond my means."
I didn't enjoy them any more than the coins I collect now which are within my means.
In fact, I think I enjoyed them less.
I think if I learned anything it's that you can invest your coins with as much worth for yourself as you are willing to give them.
But yes, I'm sure that sounds like mamby-pamby rationalizing from a "non-player."

As a matter of fact, one of my strong collecting interests is Notgeld, and the stuff is generally pretty cheap.
But I'm definitely looking forward to adding some patterns to my collection.

Wait!--for that matter I don't really care if they aren't.
I stand slack-jawed looking at most things people spend their money on in this world.
It's probably good my large supply of it has been revoked.
