OT: Iraq War touches home here on the boards . . .

One of our board members has a son who has been fighting for our country in Iraq. He was recently shot three times in combat, and is back stateside at Walter Reed recovering. He is expected to make a full recovery, but has undergone several surgeries. He is will be on medical leave for two months, when he will return to Iraq and rejoin his brothers in arms.

Bravery and service at this level demand the highest honor. At a time when I see constant criticism of the war in the media, we MUST as a country show our gratitude and appreciation to the fine young men and women who protect us and keep us safe in our own homes. This is not a political statement open for debate.

My hat is off to the soldier, and as well, for the board member who raised him right.

You don't need the names to lift them up with prayer and honor. It will get through to the right people. There are several board members who have family overseas, and one member himself over there. This message could have been written for anyone of us, but today the honor is for one man and his father.

Thank you.
Doug
