Stupid poll -- do you prefer to use EF or XF as an abbreviation for Extremely Fine?

<< <i>EF" is proper according to the ANA standards. They specifically say "XF" is not correct. >>
People followed the ANA back in the 80's but today they have no real say or power in the market since they have sold the grading service ANACS in 1991 and their last grading book was dated 1997. NGC, PCGS has taken the place of the grading guides and market in what things should grade.

XF is just a short-hand that some people use just like some people use FN instead of F for Fine and GD instead of G for good.
Then again, some folks may use XF as a short-hand for mint state . . . but that's another thread!

<< <i>I usually use EF, for the same reason as Russ. I don't care, though, because I don't really like circulated coins.

I have dramatically changed my position over the weekend. I think it is critical that we come to a resolution on this extremely important matter
