ICCS how does it stack up

Hi forum members!

So, what are your opinions on how ICCS stacks up against other TPG services in the grading of U.S. coins?

I've never even seen an ICCS graded US coin. Have you seen some?

I haven't seen a US coin graded by them either. I will say that they grade Canadian tougher than any US service, and ICCS Canadian coins bring much better prices than PCGS, NGC, or ANACS!!

Yes I have. I've been following some on Ebay.

I also have been seeing a few Frankies graded by them as well.

Looks like they are tighter on US coins also, that 1887 looks better than MS60!!

    So what's he really selling ?? A MS-60 coin or a MS-64 ??

The coin in the pic is labeled MS-64 and the title says MS-60 ???

It's a slider and not certified.

Looks like a remnant from the telemarketing 80's.

ICCS does a very good job on Canadian coins. That's all I can speak to.

In the areas of Canadian that I look for and collect, I have the utmost confidence in an ICCS graded coin. I don't care for their holders--but then again, I take them out.

You know, if there are ICCS graded US coins floating around, I smell opportunity.

I was just wondering because I am seeing more ICCS graded U.S. coins as of late. Last night, and I didn't jump on it, there was a 1953-P Frankie up on the bay of E graded ICCS MS-64FBL and dang if it didn't look more MS-66! It was one sweet looking Frankieimage I just don't know how an ICCS coin would do on a cross over chance.

I went to the Torex (Toronto) show last month.I bought a 1942 Lincoln cent graded proof 65 by ICCS and it crossed as a proof 65 cameo.
I buy ICCS all the time but you must know Canadian grading standards. They will grade copper as red with 75% red. They also do not take eye appeal into consideration.Hence there are definitely more opportunities to buy ICCS coins for upgrades at PCGS than buying PCGS coins at a Heritage auction.

ICCS grades are strictly technical. They don't give extra points for toning or eye appeal. They also don't seem to net grade, either, but do note problems on the holder.
