Cameron's trying to throw you off. He wants the rare slab.

Since the date on the slab is before PCGS even started, it looks like PCGS gave them some stiff competition.

THANK YOU!! That is a new variety for this company and it pre-dates the two varieties that I already had listed for that company. I've bookmarked the auction so I hope none of the rest of you were interested in bidding on it. Oh good he has two of them.

  • If it said sample I would be all over it but I am not going to even bid on this. I do samples and not all the old slab types.

Good line. That's what I would say if I wanted it.

Looks AU. The telemarketers last gasp before the real grading services launched ( look at the date)

Well after everyone laughed at it, it wound up selling for almost $108. And I almost suspect I was not the only one bidding on it because of the holder. I recognize at least four other bidder names who also collect holders. Or at least sample slabs.
  • I didn't bid like I said I wouldn't.

There was a coin in that holder? image

Yep, there are a few folks out there who collect slabs and I also recognized their names. Silly, silly people! image

P.S. And yes, I was the winning bidder.
