I just received this today. I'm not much of a copper guy, so I would appreciate your thoughts on it.

Circulated, scratched, stained or corroded. Basically a pos.
Stop buying those ACG 67's.
<< <i> Pushkin, the images are extremely accurate. >>
It looks like someone used a chemical mix such a Deller's Darkener and put it on a light bulb for too long, hence the carbon spot - it doesn't look like a natural carbon spot. Most attempts to "doctor" fail badly and are easy to detect. Just my opinion, but I've played with numerous of the classical methods used to "doctor" copper/bronze. None of them work and most are easily detectable. Someday I'd like to write a pamphlet with good color photos showing what to look for in "doctored copper" - someday.
Sorry about the bad news.
Edit to say: Why do I think this thread is a set up?

The Bad and Ugly - I'm with Pushkin on this; that is not a natural carbon spot on the obverse. The color is unnatural and the large scratch on the Indian's cheek makes matters worse. The strike on the coin is not good (late date IHCs are usually well struck) and even if the coin was not played-with, it would be a slider at best.
Front feather tips are weak, which would not preclude an Unc. grade, but the third and fourth diamonds show wear. I would be surprised if this coin was slabbed by the majors.

No set up. I wanted some honest opinions from the copper guys without bias as to the holder or the grade.
