    Will PCGS grade/Slab a Columbian that has the date worn off? I have one that you can barely make out Columbus and nothing on the back.

    The coins were auctioned on Yahoo just recently. They should be cracked out and carried as pocket pieces until they grade 01.

    I detect altered surfaces and artificial toning on John's Columbian, but I don't think he cares.

    I used to own those two (I recognize the inserts). One day I'll get the energy to post a PO01 that has only a ghost of the 3 in the date and not much else.

    -These two featured on this Thread I found attractive because they were graded back in the day PCGS charged a minimum of $30. per coin with no discounts.

    Someone submitted those... $30.00 per... now THAT'S a sense of humor.
