Question :Coin Show Bicentennial Medels

Wondering if any of you have ever seen anything like these. My father has collected coin since 1947. He got these at his local coin show in Asheville, NC. He said cannot not remember anything about them. I am not sure of how to determine value. Set has good weight to them...set weighs probably twice as much as three slabbed morgans. Gold & silver are prooflike & frosty. Could jeweler determine anything. Do not think plated but could be. Really have know idea about the set. thanks

I answered my own qestion...sort of. I decided for be brave & open the set. Carefully removed the coins. Gold Medal = 1 troy ounce .999 fine gold. Silver Medal = .999 Fime silver & bronze = bronze. Nice little set. Anyone come across anything like these?
