I wanted a logo to go in my ebay store... I couldn't do one because I didn't have the correct software. Of course, if I had the correct software I still wouldn't be able to do it.
Why pay a logo designer? Do they know about and really like coins. Nay, nay thrice nay.
Contact a graphic talented forum member. After three attempts ( with me giving false info) they come up with this:

We're only looking for the overall effect. If someone is going to dissect your logo before they buy there's a great chance they're not gonna have much cash to spend.
