Colombia, a 1 year type, KM-3, 2.4 million Uncs ($15). Proof, no mintage, listed as Rare.

A specimen would be rare then?

There's no signifigance to 'specimen'. It's only a synonym for 'example'. The coin is graded MSPR66 (Proof) on the 60-70 point scale.

It's a bit more tricky than this if you ask me. The coin is not graded MS or PR 66 , but SP 66. Go figure how PCGS determined that this is a specimen,and what the "sp"ecimen refers to in this particular case; first strike ?

Someone who's more familiar with these might enlighten us.

Nice coin, I like it and I wouldn't mind owning it. I like the pedigree as well and the price seems very reasonable. Unfortunately it is slabbed so I won't be buying it.
