Those hairlines on the portrait could be slide marks from taking it in and out of an album. Since there are two shades of toning, the high points being lighter, I would say it's original. Nice coin!

Coin is a VF 35, looks original, but those arn't slide marks, the coin is scratched, and won't holder.

I agree with you that they are probably light scratches and not slide marks, but you think its enough to knock it out of holdering. Doesnt seem that bad to me, but then again it may. Its one you would need to definitely look at in person. If so, it 's ashame as the overall coin has a nice look to me.

The seller used a type of doll to support it. According to the seller there are no marks on the coin. The doll used for the pics is some type of chauky thing. You can see the pic of the coin in the lower left of this picture. Also the color is yellowed. Probably had the camera set wrong.

The seller had some pipe auctions up and the coin was in each picture. Then the seller took seperate pics of the coin.

VF-25 detail, toning looks original in the photos, but you never know until you hold it under a lamp and look for hairlines. Many Bust coins seem to have original color, but have been "wiped" with a cloth.
