Ah, come on, Joe. You don't want that poor ole beat up '23 cluttering up your collection. Just send it my way.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

Here's a new purchase, the elusive 1815 quarter

    image

I'd grade this one VG8 or so as it has a nice, balanced eye appeal, full Liberty with partial clasp and eye,
the reverse has about half of E Pluribus Unum and maybe 20% of the feathers visible.
The obverse devices show evidence of light cleaning (wiped)

Something like this costs about $100.

    Baley, Nice quarter.
Here is a ANACS VG-8 I picked up recently. These are hard to find in unmolested condition.

Hi Gary, I like your coin A LOT better, and think it's VG 10 with claims to Fine. image
One like yours is what I was looking for, but these are so scarce, it's not like you can just choose among many.
One has to take what is available or do without image

    Great thread!!!

Here are my 2 Bust Q's that I purchased raw of the ebay.
The 1831 is now holdered as PCGS EX40 Large Letters, The 1834 is graded PCGS VF25.

I have no idea about varieties in this series, if these are anything special I'd appreciate the knowledge.
    Thanks
    Tom

These are the sellers original pics. The scratch on the 34 is actually from the chaulk of the dolls hand that she used to hold the coin for the pic.

Man, I can't believe I've completely missed this thread! Guess I've been spending too much time over on the darkside lol. Well, there's not much to say that hasn't already been said so I'll just put up a couple pics of some of my capper quarters image

  • Hi Joseph --

That 1828 you posted is stunning. I assume you don't spend much time on these forums so I hope everyone will take advantage of your presence / knowledge in this area -- while you're here!

Here's a recent arrival, this coin is a Browning 4, in die state II, with the clash marks from the shield near the ear, and from the head and bust in the reverse fields. Very much like the coin Nic posted, but of course, more worn than his beautiful example.
