Canada 1900 Paris Expo Medal

I picked this up today at the Mansfield Numismatic Society Show - Willimantic, CT. 50mm Bronze. (Looks like General Robert E. Lee)

Lots of Darkside stuff at this show. I also picked an 1819 British crown in Fine at a very nice price and an AU 1889 crown thats looks prooflike. One table had some Goetz patterns for Prussia but the prices seemed high to me $150+ each.

    I like it!

I looked at medals with a different eye at the Portland show. Didn't see any I had to take home... but one of these days I'm sure it will happen.

$150 for Goetz patterns would not be considered high for the market if in excellent condition.

He studied in Montreal and Paris and in 1881 was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy after designing and executing many monuments in Montreal and throughout the Province.
