Canada 1900 Paris Expo Medal

I picked this up today at the Mansfield Numismatic Society Show - Willimantic, CT. 50mm Bronze. (Looks like General Robert E. Lee)
Lots of Darkside stuff at this show. I also picked an 1819 British crown in Fine at a very nice price and an AU 1889 crown thats looks prooflike. One table had some Goetz patterns for Prussia but the prices seemed high to me $150+ each.

Shep
I looked at medals with a different eye at the Portland show. Didn't see any I had to take home... but one of these days I'm sure it will happen.

Louis Phillipe Hebert, born at Ste. Sophie d'Halifax in Quebec in 1850. He studied in Montreal and Paris and in 1881 was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy after designing and executing many monuments in Montreal and throughout the Province. "His first attempt in the medal line was that struck in 1900 for J. Israel Tarte, which... shows flashes of the art by which he produced the masterpiece described below, the Lieutenant Governor Leblanc Medal, 1915..."
