Nice Swiss coin. I have never found a foreign coin in change, other than Canadian of course.

Yes, welcome to the darksideimage I never found a foreign coin in my change either. But when I was a kid I remeber sticking a 1925 French Frank in the soda machine. It was the size and weight of a quarter and it fooled the machineimage

My brother designed the automatic toll system for the Peace Bridge (Buffalo to Fort Erie, Ont). He said there was, perhaps still is, a Greek coin that is the same size and weight of a US quarter and was worth about 8c at the time. They could come up with no way to prevent the toll system from accepting the Greek coin as a US quarter.

If it interests you enough to keep it, or even reseach it-- you're a darksider. If you toss it away in disgust, you're like those lightside people over there.

I actually love that coin. I've held onto it since I found it. image

Welcome to this side of coin collecting.

Other than the ajaan vs aethelred pseudo-flame wars and the odd troll, folks here are pretty civilized.

Why doesn't this surprise me? Fooling the machines and feeding them Greek coins.
I've considered it as a national sport and practiced it in Europe for a few years myself. image

edit: my guess is that it's a 10 dr coin. Not worth retrieving it, even if BU. image
