That 50 Sen is totally spellbinding. But how'd that SAE get such funky toning in only 3 years??

Feed Frank the pug, beans and have him pass gas, that will tone any SAE overnight!image

That looks like a very nice 50 sen. I don't see too many toned ones like that...any more like it? I want to ask though, is it from any ebay seller I may have heard of image?

  • They're certainly both quite attractive. I especially like the 50 Sen. I have never really paid much attention to Japanese coinage, but that piece is beautiful!

The 50 sen looks like a "greattoning" coin.

I disagree with stork and lordmarkovan. I don't think it's a "gt" coin. But I love it. image

    Any plans to sell?

Hey, I never said greattoning image . I like looking through the gt auctions periodically, though I haven't noticed too many Japanese coins. (I say this being a satisfied greattoning auction winner once by the way).

I don't know what to think about the ASE, but that 50 sen is lovely and one of my favorite Japanese designs with the double phoenix (hoo).

Am I entered for the giveaway yet image?
