My name is baccaruda, and I'm a tone-a-holic.

My preoccupation with silver tone has taken me to the edge. I was in an antique store a few weeks ago and almost bought a 100 year old silverware set in one of those old wooden boxes because every piece was covered in beautiful rainbow toning. Only extreme ridicule from my girlfriend pulled me from the abyss...

    I don't know, I think I may have been the first one to touch that box in about 30 years...

    I bought my wife a small sterling silver bowl a couple of years ago, it now has a beautiful rainbow tone from just sitting in the hutch. I am trying to convince her not to clean it. I have also a few dipped coins sitting in the hutch, hoping for the same effect!

    I have a 20 gauge shotgun with rainbow toning. I'm telling you, the guys in the white coats are gonna come get me.

    My only request is that the bars to my cell be made of silver...

    You can show me the baddest looking Harley in the world (I know yours is a cafe style) and the first thing I'd notice are the rainbow colors on the tailpipe.

    A few months ago we were in the gas station and I saw a newer penny in the "pennies for everyone" tray. It had been handled and had great green/blue color. I was staring at it for a while and finally put it in my pocket.

    I didn't realize that the cashier was waiting to hand me my change. My girlfriend says "You're so embarassing".

    Numismatists are so misunderstood. We need a support group.

    Cameron, maybe you're wiser than I give you credit. I was at least 25 before I realized that being called "stupid" is something that a man just has to accept, and not respond to.
