Now......Here's the good part......

The seats are in the lower field boxes, about a dozen rows right off 3rd. base!!!!! Check out SEC 165 on the Indians web page and click on the seating section, and it will give you a visual of the field from those seats....Pretty COOL!!!


Seats will be offered to the Registry guys and their guests only, first come...first served....


With the Sumitt Dinner on Friday night (probably..), the PSA Luncheon most likely on Saturday, and with collectors coming in at all hours, I thought these dates would work the best...


Tickets are $40 per seat. and when they are sold out.......that's it....

Just a warning about Cleveland traffic. I tried to get to an Indian game from the National when it was there a few years ago. I left the National an hour before game time (my ride wasn't ready to leave earlier). Bumper to bumper almost the entire way there, got there for the ninth inning. I was told my experience wasn't out of the ordinary, but maybe some locals can chime in here. Definitely check out public transportation if you are going.

Trafiic should not be problem this time around. A couple of years ago...the Tribe would sell out the season in December. Last year and (this year)....you can easily walk up to get tickets to any game.

I expect traffic to be thin...barring any accidents on the highways.

Matt, will that be 2 tix for 1 day (Frank is going both days), or 2 tix for 2 days??? I also emailed Joe O for an invite. He said he would attend with us, if he can work out the schedule (pretty busy for PSA folks during that time...) I think there is a good chance you will see 'ole Joe amonst the Registry Guys.....(maybe I'll offer him some beer credits..LOL...)

Very nice of you to make these arrangements. I won't be going to the games for two reasons: (1) the two-day Superior auction will be either Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday, and (2) I would be much more interested in the games if the Red Sox (to cheer for) or the Yankees (to root against) were playing!

I'm sure I'll see you guys at the Registry luncheon or dinner.

I've been assured there will be one, but they're not firm on the dates. Most likely it'll be held on the evenings of Thursday/Friday (the 22nd and 23rd) like last year. Also, if done like last year, the first day (22nd) will be all cards and the 2nd day (23rd will be some cards and lots of memorabilia). Looks like you'll be at the game on the 22nd, though!

Going to a game in Cleveland reminds me of the only other time I saw a game there. It was spring of 1969, and the Indians were playing the Red Sox. I was a teenager in Cleveland for a high school conference. During the game, Tony Conigliaro, who had just recently returned after being out for over a year following a terrible beaning, was again hit by a pitch. He immmediately charged the mound and attacked the pitcher. Of course both benches cleared, and Tony was ejected.

That is all I remember of the game, but it was exciting enough that I still remember it 25 years later. Perhaps something memorable will happen again this time!
