OK, that coin actually lives up to the billing in the subject line. Super nice.

If this is the one Gsaguy owned over a year ago.... I've seen it in person. I thought Bear bought it. I recall it had nice color. Not so sure it was this bright and vivid color though. But this might not be the same coin and what do I know. But I know you're gonna tell me it looks just like this in person so what a wasted post huh?image

Edit.... I just saw the part you mentioned the colors are better in hand. See, what do I know. image

There is a story going around that someone here took a bunch of Kennedy's, put them in 2X2 paper
envelopes and taped them to the radiator of his car for several weeks and sold them to one of the dealers here.
They were supposed to be slabbed with beautiful colors. The guy that did the AT job did not tell the dealer how he did this untill after he bought them. Is that one of these?

This is a lovely coin which I recently saw in person. The coin looks just like the picture.

There is nothing about the colors, their order, or the smoothness of the transition that indicates the coin is AT. It looks natural and very beautiful to me. image

I don't know about that radiator story....but I do know that with the premimum the market is putting on toning right now that someone has probably tried it, or will try after reading this.

Yes, the pictured coin is an old friend of mine and yes, it does look like the pic that Doug posted.

While I'm not generally a Kennedy man and therefore have looked at only a fraction of them as compared to toned Morgans, it is hard to imagine a better example. Until I see it in person, the piece pictured is far and away the nicest I've ever handled.

Edited to add: Just for the record, I've owned the coin twice.....and hope to live long enough to own it yet again.
