Thanks to Conder101 I bought the Slab Not the Coin

I was at the same store that I bought a Rattler slab at last week,
and after looking at Conder101's site, it dawned on me that there was another rarer slab to be had there.

So I bought the slab not the coin (totally against my nature).
What do you think?

Conder101 site has this type slab listed as "This variety was used in Dec of 89 only"

I hope it's not a fake.

Cool slab Glen! Wish I still had some of my earlier Buffalos in those old 1st generation slabs. Good score!

    My mistake Cameron
It was a tread not a site (everything is the same to me on the web)

  • It's a real "doiley" label type that was indeed ussed for a short time. Nice coin in a hard to find slab!

PS. They made samples also for this typeimage

Nice slab, very tough to find. I wouldn't worry about it being a counterfeit, the only counterfeit PCGS slabs that I know of were fakes of the first generation "rattler" slabs. And if you are lucky enough to find one of them, the slab itself is worth plenty. I will happily pay $300 or more for one no matter what is in it.

Hard to say, there are at least twelve different varieties of ACG photoslabs. (ACG has more slab varieties than any other company, I currently list 34 different. ) None of them are really common anymore but a few of them are probably fairly scare to rare. I think I am missing two of them. (I have pictures but not examples.)
