Cameron or Conder here is a small question for you

I got back a group of NGC certified Morgans the other day. One of the slabs has the date in bold and all the other dates are not in bold. just curious if this is something that just happens or is some kind of typo on their part. thanks guys.

I received some Kennedy halves that way. One has bold type for the grade & UCAM designation and the coin with the next number doesn't. Strange!!!

  • A couple of months ago they switched to the bold writing. They might have switched back and we don't know yet and these are some of the first slabs, or more likely it is an error. We will have to wait for more submissions to come back and see.

I have received submissions back on a regular basis and there has only been this one with the bold.

Here is a sample with some bold. I'd like to see a pic of the two different kinds if at all possible.

Since July of last year the grade line on the label should be in bold font. For about one week during the silver dollar show in St Louis they experimented with making the entire label using a bold font. The date line should NOT be bold (Except for those produced that experimental week.) unless they have made another change that we don't know about yet. You probably have an error label.

I just received some Morgans back from NGC yesterday, and the grade was in bold print.
If It doesn't have great eye appeal, I don't want it.
