Has anyone ever asked PCGS for their coins back before they are graded?

Has the delay in grading ever caused you to ask PCGS to just send your coins back and forget and grading them?

Maybe some time critical deal counted on the coin being slabbed and the deadline has passed.

Not quite, but I did have a bunch of coins, a printed up invoice and a check ready to ship. I was waiting to get grades before I sent off the next one.

This was middle of last year when schedules went to hell. After it had gone from 30 days to 60 then I think 75, I ended up opening up the shipping envelope, removing the coins and tearing up the check. I have never sent any coins in again.

Yes I have, a customer didn't want to wait 3 months. PCGS charged for the shipping.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

It might hit home if people start doing this and requesting it be sent registered mail to NGC.

Not with PCGS, but I did it with ANACS. They quoted me 30 days and everytime I'd call they told me it was another 5 days, so after 90 days, I told them to box the coins up and send them back with a refund. The refund was a credit! I sent the credit slip back and told them I wanted CASH or CHECK only. They sent me a refund check.

No, what would hit home for PCGS would be if NGC and possibly ANACS gave a discount, or 1 free coin submission, for any of their submissions that also included a cancelled PCGS submission image

That would get the cutthroat competitive juices flowing.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
