New arrival today from the mail man

Been looking for one of these on and off. I got the Puffin this past summer from Aethelred, now I got the Half Puffin too.

Lundy Half Puffin, an illegal (private) issue from the UK.

Cool coin. Only the birds and Mr. Harman were around to spend them!

Didn't that guy buy an oil rig or something in the channel and set up his own defacto kingdom?

I'd love to know what the edge inscription actually means:

"LUNDY LIGHTS AND LEADS" (From memory).

Those are brilliant coins - I sold a 1929 Puffin (Penny) on Ebay a few months back, AU with a real dark glossy patina, but some tiny edge knocks. The rims are very sharp and prone to bruise at the slightest knock. They turn up in BU Full Lustre around here sometimes.

More bits of unsure information - I believe that guy was from Birmingham and went to jail for minting this coinage.

Well made and designed for a private issue. Who minted them and designed them?
