The color is unnatural. It also won't grade anything if that's a scratch on the lower left obverse. I'd definitely send a coin like that to ANACS.

It has been cleaned and is damaged. It's grade would be a net EF40, but PCGS wouldn't put it into their holder because of their self-pride issues. Send it to ANACS for authentication and net grading.

Photos are of too poor a quality to make a judgement. Coin should be slabbed but isn't. I think you have youir answer.

  • Is the obverse really that color? The Rev looks uncleaned and AU55ish.

That's an awful weak VDB on the reverse, if it's there at all.

I endorse what Barracuda says on this one. Also, I'd NEVER buy a raw S-VDB, not even from my mother.image

  • Something don't look right about the coin. It could, however, be just photography.
Now, not to ruffle any feathers, but people on this forum are always saying to NEVER buy a raw coin! Ever! Guys and gals, what kind of slab did the coin come from the mint in??? Exactly, none! All coins were raw at one time before being placed in slabs..............Ken

I have to agree with the majority. It has been cleaned.ANACS is the only company that would grade it and it would be a net grade.

  • I would have to agree with the crowd, cleaned net ef40, if sent to anacs.

The backgrounds are different colors, making me think the images were worked on a bit.

I'm not sure what the color of the coin really is.

The obv seems to show a change in color on the jaw making me think AU.

    Can't see the V.D.B. I can't say it's been cleaned from what I see.

Can you post a better obv pic?

  • Is it just me, or does the entire obverse look doubled?

Maybe it's a rare new variety image

The photo's are Pis" poor. Coin looks Xf-45, but not original.

Please pass on this one, you will not be happy!

I don't think it's doubled, just blurry. But the revese is missing the bottom half of the "T" in CENT. Interesting.

But I wouldn't say it's been cleaned. I think "ruined" would be a better term.
