Interesting how coins change after you sell them

I recently sold a Morgan Dollar (not to someone on this forum). It was a very nice coin considering the relative date rarity, but it wasn't drop dead gorgeous by any stretch.

I just saw the coin on ebay. There is no doubt it is the same coin.

WOW. WOW. WOW. I haven't seen a makeover like that since the last episode of the Anna Nicole show!

I wonder how the buyer is going to feel about where those lusterous, satiny surfaces went when he sees the real mccoy??

  • I've only had "help" on one coin that I ever sold.... a rainbow Peace $.... it was just too hard to show the colors....

Even tho it sold... I felt bad because of the "doctored-ness" of the photo to show the colors..........

other than that.... I've been a good boy......image

Can you post pictures of the coin you sold and the coin currently for sale?

as much as I would like to, I really don't want to get a mile of grief from the current owner, who would run chapter and verse about how they would NEVER do such a thing.
