Have you ever shown a coin to someone (either a coin collector or a noncollector), and they were just totally uninterested in the coin? If so, what was the coin?

I get alot of this at school.I usually show a coin around every few days and almost everybody likes them and wants to know more about them but there are a few people in my class who will call everybody idiots and stuff for likeing 'pieces of round metal with designs on them'.

My wife is one of the coolest people on the planet, but she doesn't dig coins. Even my PCGS '53-S MS65FBL Franklin didn't remove the bored look when it comes to coins.

I had 55 classic commems in ms 65 and 66 laid out on a table. My son`s girlfriend asked if they were quarters. I told her they were halves and she said they looked like quarters to her as she walked away!

My wife is impressed when I tell her I have made $3 to $10 raw buys into PCGS slabs worth hundreds, but she really does not care to look at them ... she calls me, sob, a coin nerd. And, if you all must know, you are my "coin nerd buddies."
