Proof Morgan in PCI? slab. Is the slab legit? or homemade.

Ok here's a quickshipper auction. Look at the PCI slab, is that a legit slab?
The coin even looks a little weird.

Proof Morgan

I don't know about the slab, but I am glad to see that eBay finally bounced this con artist from the Power Screwer program.

That slab looks homemade to me.

Homemade slab ... and those bidders are more certifiable than the coin. image

This guy resides in a very special place in my bad guys file, there are only three in the "worst of the worst" folder, the other two are AH and aswimmer.

Looking at this clown's feedback, it is amazing he gets bids at all.

What has been done to that poor coin? It is easy to tell it is a business strike and not a proof. Then the fields have been pollished to give a proof like mirror. Poor pollished coin.

Maybe this PCI means "Polished Coin Industries"

tilted coins in pictures are always a red light for me. way too many visible lines in those fields. just plain "not right" IMHO.

  • THIS PCI SLAB(?) DOES NOT LOOK GOOD TO ME!!!!!!!!!
  • Yeah. I'll air my dirty laundry and admit that I have a few PCI slabs and that ain't one. It doesn't have the correct shape or anything. What amazes me is that people are bidding on this. It is so sad!
  • It is not the slabbing companies (PCI) slab.

Thanks for the endorsement, Eric. Although your links aren't working for me, I find it interesting thar you consider "quickshiper" more despicable than 96.5% eBay PowerSeller ryandavidcoins (whom we have watched though half a dozen subsequent eBay IDs oncluding perhaps "fampak", "EBC800") I thought that eBay PowerSellers had to retain a 98% positive rating until recently.

Does your "worst of the worst" list exclude our old pals Katzcoins, rarecoinsusa (the last positive was posted by aswimmer), or even my "favorite" rosenvel? My faith in our ability to sniff out bad eBay coin sellers remains unshaken, but your endorsement of aswimmer and quickshiper as the worst ever makes me question your long term memory.

  • Please correct me if i am wrong, but the coin certainly appears to be a proof to me. With the close up pics it looks like the edges are flat.

THat coin might be a proof, it also might be polished, it also might be re-colored, & the photo might be "enhanced" - (Ralph Nader might also be our next president image) - a lot of things might be possible, but NOT getting ripped off with that coin is probably not one of them. JMHO

Paul, my worst of the worst file is of current, registered users. And yes, ryandavidcoins is close to joining that elite group.

Katz, ctnumis, and some of the others are in my worst that are now NARU file.

Anyone who thinks that coin might even be an actual proof is out to lunch. It is a business strike.

Far from it, Paul and I know each other quite well, and have done a lot of non-coin business. Paul was just upset that I left out some big name scammers from my active list, but once they are NARU they go into the NARU file.

  • K6AZ. Why do you say it is a business strike. As I am sure you know, the difference between proof and reg. strike is non-negotiable . It looks like it has the rims of a proof to me.
  • K6AZK6AZ Posts: 9,295
It doesn't, and I don't know what you are seeing in those scans. It is most definitely a business strike.
