CT half dipped?

I think this coin might have been dipped at one time. Your opinion is appreciated.
It appears to be very briliant and bright, but I am not sure if it is original.

    Looks kinda washed out like it was dipped in the past. Hard to tell by the picture though.

    I wouldn't touch it based on the first picture. It is, however, my favorite coin design of all time.

    I own it so it is not a question of wether or not I should buy it.
    It is one of my favorites as well, so I guess I will just keep it for the hell of it.
