I'm pretty sure there is a U.S. trade dollar in an MS-64 holder that has a big chopmark on the obverse. Bowers and Merena had it for sale I think? image

Guess you haven't submitted enough coins yet to get the favoritism grades yet. image

I think PCGS only grade chopmarked trade dollars. Any other coin is considered "damaged."

Glad to hear they finally arrived. Too bad about the bodybags. I, personally, think chopmarks are cool. They give coins character (I have several old spanish 8 reales with chops).

I thought PCGS's World Coin service was 30 days. That is what a service rep told me. Is there more than one World coin service offered?

Well I guess 'approximately 30 days' really means 90 days. I won't send to PCGS as long as their turnaround time is 3x their estimate.

Read the liteside. It seems like everyone counts the days. I have a submission at ICG. I was going to call them today to get my grades, the are ready, but my phone line isn't working.
