I see the the Kuenker auction has one of these up for bid at a $38,000 start bid price. That's $20,000 below NEN's price for theirs and the Kuenker piece is much nicer.
Does anyone know, is it unusual to see two of these rarities up for sale at the same time?

No. They are not actually that rare, just popular. I've heard that these were made to order over many years for collectors. What does Coincraft say on this?? Lloyd?
Untrue. There are only 400 pieces. That's somewhat rare. There are a lot of varieties documented in Spink.
There are pieces similar to it that have been struck over the years, in other metals. There are also many fakes and restrikes.

They just say that they were issued in proof sets and rarely come up for sale. I think the internet has made us totally familiar with everything that goes on in the coin world. I'd never heard of NEN until a year or two ago and most of you had never heard of Colin Cooke. Also there's your auction houses and ours.
So there's as many Una's as there are proof sets.
By the way Coincraft also liken it to the Gothic Crown in terms of popularity. It's a gotta-get-me-one coin. They don't bother me at all but a lottery win would see me with a complete variety set in around 25 minutes.
