Yes. It's extremely rare and VERY expensive even in low grade.

I've got three that I'll include, one vintage, two modern.

    They are:

    1) 1962 Topps Mickey Mantle - one of only two baseball sets I'm collecting at all any more (2003 Timeless Treasures base set being the other). This one was a gift from my uncle and is the card that got me started collecting the set.

    2) 2002 Press Pass JE Class of 2002 Autograph David Carr - I'm a David Carr college uniform card collector. This one is my absolute favorite card - it's the best-looking Carr card I own and is my first Carr autograph. This one was also a gift, this time a Christmas present from my brother.

    3) 2002 Topps Debut Jersey Red David Carr /199 - My highest-booking football card (yeah, only $120). I got this one on Ebay for dirt-cheap ($20!) and it was the last of the three Topps Debut David Carrs that I needed for my collection.

I've got scans of all of my David Carrs up on the web:

<< <i>HOW ARE YOU GUYS PUTTING THE PIC IN THE ACTUAL POST...I ONLY SEEM TO BE ABLE TO ATTACH IT image >>

If you have the scan online somewhere already (on a website or something), just click on the picture icon when posting (it's the one next to the Underline command) and put in the URL to the picture in the popup.

    Nope.

  • Here are a couple more test cards. As you can see the Howe has a light touch of white on the lower right hand corner and the Beliveau has some (very, very little) on the bottom. I think because they were a test issue is why some have the white borders. A lot of the cards in the set have no white once so ever.

I notice that the Orr and Beliveau cards share the same background. Is this common in the set?

    Steve
  • All the same, but depending where the photo of the player is placed it makes them look slightly different. Gordie is placed in front of the skater.
  • Like many I have too many favorites to give them all a fair shake here, so for the picture I'll stick to just my favorite graded card to date. Oddly enough it's not part of my registered set, but then I'm still in my infancy in graded card collecting.

Favorite Trammell issues (in no particular order, and undoubtedly leaving out some good ones):

    '79 Topps
    '82 Topps
    '89 Upper Deck
    '94 Triple Play Medalists
    '97 Fleer
    '02 Diamond Kings Gold Frame
'03 Flair Greats Sweet Swatch Bat Image/Auto
'96 Leaf Wrong Back--this error also has the silver foil layer for the left/bottom borders applied to it upside down, meaning that it appears on the top and right side instead. It looks really cool if you're into that sort of thing, which I am.
