It may be mounted on a perma plaque but I'd have to say the 1888 A35 is the most attractive card I've ever seen. They are 8" in diameter. I also have John Ward.

Great topic Carlos! I'd be interested in hearing WHY a card chosen is your favorite. Mine is sitting at the post office ready to be picked up. I'll scan it ASAP on Monday.

Currently collecting the Nolan Ryan Basic and Topps Player sets.
Carlos, Yes it's a 1972 Topps Football series 1 GAI 8 pack. You can't see it? It shows up fine on my computer everytime i click on this thread. Can anyone else see the picture?

Justin,
I met Lyle when I was a freshman in High School, at the time he played for the Cleveland Browns. During my High School years he was my favorite football player and I followed his career, until the steriods thing came out.
Plus the card is his Rookie and it is graded PSA 10. Now if I had a Roger Staubach Rookie in a PSA 10 (or even a PSA 9) then that will be my favorite.
I know they aren't PSA-graded, but the these are my top 3 cards. The Gibson is by far my favorite card. Of the 5 known examples it is easily the nicest, both in image quality and technical condition. It was only discovered a few months ago. Prior to that, no one knew Gibson had a card. Same with Hilton Smith. The Leon Day was known, but none are even close to this condition.
Sorry to all of the HOF set registrants. It might have been easier to sleep before knowing that all 3 of these HOFers have cards.
I love that Stargell card. I have an interesting Stargell item you may or may not have. I met him in 1980 at Veterans stadium during batting practice when I has sitting in the first row next to the Pirates dugout and begged him for some Stargell stars for my older brother who's a die hard Pirates fan.
He kinda blew me off and went back to batting practice. When the 1st half inning was over he ran over to me before heading to 1st base and handed me 5 stars. My brother has one of them and I have the other four. Are you interested in one?

I have many cards that I own and many more that I wish to own. And while pondering the question, 3 came to mind (in 3 diff sports)
Baseball - 1914 Polo Grounds Eddie Plank - a neat 90 year old card in Mint condition of one of my favorite players. He was born in Gettysburg, played for Gettysburg College, where Connie Mack signed him, and returned after his playing career, he died in 1926. Gettysburg is 10 miles from me, I attended the dedication of a PA state historical marker at Gettysburg college a couple of years ago. I also visited the building where he had a car dealership (theres a plaque outside the building) and his grave in Evergreen cemetery, right next to the soldiers cemetery.
Football - 1964 Philadelphia Y. A. Tittle - I've always loved this card, it has a sureal 3-D effect w/ its crisp & vibrant shot. As a Giants fan I also like that this is the only card in the set that has a player w/ his helmet on.
Hockey - 1972 Topps Keith Magnuson - I recently started to assemble this set in PSA fashion, and this card just stood out. Most of the other cards have the usual bust shots, but this card has a twilight zone look to it as if your looking at it thru a chrystal ball. The Madison Square Garden ceiling and Magnuson sitting w/ a pensive glaze. It seems more prohetic now since he recently died.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
Please note the sharp corners and near perfect centering. Now Carlos, look very closely at your Alzado card, then look at my McCurdy card. I think maybe I also have a Gem MT 10!!
Thanks for reminding me about the PR Sticker. I often forget about that one because the Schmidt set is not one of my priorities - no offense Marc or Darton.
But, I would rank this card in my top 10 for sure, maybe top 5 (if not for the centering and small wrinkle on the back):
I've shown these a couple of times, both here and on the other messageboards, but here is my favorite card:
It took me less than a year an a half to get the Mantle and Killebrew signatures, then almost 10 years to get the Mays autograph. I got it at what I belive was the 2nd to last or possibly the last public autograph show he did before his self-imposed exile (until Bonds passes him on the HR list).
This would be my second favorite:
Back in 1992, when I was working at a card store, I often wondered who ended up with the first signed Ted Williams card, and how cool it would be to own it. Many moons later, it was offered for sale on eBay, and I made sure to free up enough cash to bring it on home. The previous owner said he had pulled it from a pack many years ago, but seemed to have an awful lot of high-end Upper Deck items for sale. Who know. The previous owner was also the one that had it graded by BGS. At some point I'll cross it over to PSA, but since they don't slab certified autographs from before 1998 without them going through PSA/DNA first, I haven't been in too much of a hurry.
Lothar once you attach the pic , click on the link and copy the url. Go back and edit your post . Click on the the 4th box that looks like a little picture paste the url in there. And that is it.
And I will let you know regarding the add'l cards. I have all that you need.
you know, we all better be carefull or we will see all these scans suddenly "For Sale on Ebay!" by some of those "trixie little hobbitses" on the internet these days!
That is specifically why I usually white out my PSA Serial numbers. I've seen so much fraud/abuse of some of the images on the Library of Congress site, for instance, it is very sad. But I try and be proactive just because of the sheer number of $hitheads out there who store such scans and then abuse such sharing.
