My new favorite darkside coin

I saw this one and I had to snag it. Very eye appealing considering everything. And the design is great. Also picked up a nice Canadian and Philippine coin, too, today.

  • It's no secret that I think the Italian coins of the early 20th century have some of the most beautiful, classic designs going.

    Congrats, Neil. Good pick up.

Defintely. Early 20th century Italian and French coins are hard to beat for classical beauty.

I'm curious, though, do they all tone like this?

Whie not in the same condition as yours, the toning seems similar.

And I need to find me one of yours. image You know, that coin you posted earlier was the inspiration for this one. I actually went hunting for it!

I got a 1957 Canadian Half. Nearly PL in luster and with a nice red tone developing on it. It's AU-58 so it was a nice deal. Raw, of course. image
