1190 cards, including 10 enroute back from PSA as we speak.

FWIW, you can also subtract 23 from PSA's 6,000,000 as I have 23 flips that I need to send in. image

Some folks may want to look at this thread as a way to embarrass Joe.
Anyone who knows me, knows at least one thing, and that is that I don't, and won't, kiss anybody's arse.

But, I for one, appreciate Joe's 'shoot from the hip' and 'let the chips fall where they may' attitude.

I only have 94 PSA cards, but they are all 9's and 10's with an average SMR value over $200.

let us try and remember how many liars and cheats we have among us. not one of these collections can be verified. in fact, most of the member's identity can not even be confirmed. this total is a farce!

Maybe in some cases you are correct. But a lot of us know each other. There are people on this board that have seem my cards and I have seen theirs as well.

To your point...the total maybe a farce but we made our point. We are easily over 1% because there are many who have not seen this thread yet. That said, I think Joe's point is made as well. Even if we are 2 or 3% of PSA business....aren't we still a small part?

Yes, but a nice portion of the total here is not on the registry. That doesn't mean we don't own the cards.

    you want some lists?

    and.....

which one percenters are liars? certainly not the Donkey Punchers.

which ones are cheats? certainly not my Hungry Horses.

sure, we may have some pessimistic lurkers, but it did take 125 posts for one to save up enough urine to pee on this little parade.

If you really don't own any or many psa cards, it's OK to post that to the tally.
...............................I promise you won't get banned.
I believe Buckwheat was actually serious (maybe a little toungue in check) in attempting to make a point.

besides, I find it interesting, even if we need to round down the final figures.

MY QUESTION is what % of the vintage cards graded can be accounted for by these board members. After all this is the vintage cards area, im sure its much higher.I decline to say how many vintage slabs i have but i will say i can come up with over 50k cards just by a quick head count by adding some big collecters slash sellers that sometimes post on these boards that have not been heard from

    so we're stalled out at 142,873 ?

    welp, that's about 2.5%.
so maybe we're not one percenters after all.

And that doesn't include posters like King Kellogg, Dude, Frank Smith, and Marshall Fogel (if you want to stretch it).

Honestly, I'm surprised it's not more. I thought many of the members had more than they actually had.

Guys, realize that we are counting mostly vintage cards. The large majority of the 6 to 7 million PSA has graded are modern cards. But the $$$ are in the vintage cards, both in buying and grading fees.

We should all give ourselves a hand. They said forum members make up merely 1% of the PSA cards out there.

If everyone was honest about what they have, it looks like PSA fourm members have almost 2 1/2 percent of the cards that PSA has graded to date. That is well well over one percent. We really showed them.

    Let's give ourselves a hand.

Marshall Fogel counts as a poster. Here are some other names who haen't posted yet to this thread and who havent been mentioned before: Mike Castaldi, Ron Hobbs, Chris Renaud, Steve Pekovich. Lawrence Block. I'm sure there are a lot more board veterans who haven't posted yet, but my brain is taking the day off while my stomach processes yesterday's gluttony.

By my count from the last total, we are up to 157,435. And many big holders on these boards have not fessed up.

And of course if we include former posters like Sol and Zardoz and Greg, in addition to the regular posters already mentioned, we would be much higher.

I wonder how many PSAtan has?? Perhaps we should count Dom Furfaro, who though no longer with us, has his sets still registered on the Set Registry. And where are you Hubcap? I know you have quite a few. The Duke of Mint, with thousands of cards, has been know to post here occasionally. And I am sure there are plenty of others that I am forgetting about.

The point is, those of us on this board are pretty much hardcore addicts, and are a valuable resource for PSA. This is part of the reason that they even have these boards. I hope that Joe doesn't really consider us as unimportant as he made it sound. I think from his recent post on the half point grading scale thread that he was saying that we are important.
