About the Coin Price Guide

Why isn't it kept up to date- in real time?image

Comments

  • There is no real time coin price guide anywhere. You would have to have people all over the country and a constant updating of the site. That takes money and even the greysheet comes out once a week.

Try buying a Morgan Dollar in MS64 DMPL based on the PCGS pricelist. I dare you.

It's an average, not a single data point. Averages take time.

because it's a GUIDE, not an offer to buy or sell.

  • A guide needs to be realistic. PCGS Guide has way way overpriced the coins.

Real time would be cool, but I don't think it would be necessary. The market doesn't seem to be that volatile. Of course there's
    always a few exceptions.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

    I second that emotion....

or, how about an 1890-CC Tailbar in MS62 for the pcgs list price of $390. I think they forgot to add a zero on the end of that one.

PCGS Guide has way way overpriced the coins.

...and way way underpriced many coins also.
  • Nahh.... Just make them all go by the red book. *cackle*

If daily spot prices on Silver, Gold and Platinum can be posted on many sites' home pages, certainly these "guides" can be updated, at the very least, once every couple weeks!!

I think that the PCGS Price Guide is correct.

The only problem is , that it is correct
