Alright, I'm frustrated!!!!

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,409 ✭✭✭✭✭
I know, what else is new.

I want to get photos in my eBay auctions and posted here. I am told a web photo hosting site, or whatever it is called, is the way to do this. I know many members have their own websites and link their photos to them.

I do not need a big time web site. All I need is a place to transfer my photos from my hard drive to eBay and here without having to use eBay's system or CU attachment with their size limitation. I am willing to pay for such a service but it MUST be easy to use for a complete computer illiterate like myself. Any help?

Thanks.

Who is your ISP? Most ISPs give you 10mb free which is all you need if it is just for image hosting.

Download an FTP server and you can use that to upload your photos.

  • You know, I have been laughed at, ridiculed, and called God's Greatest Fool by my computer literate friends... but, I tell you AOL suits my needs just fine.

It gets me internet access (high speed at that) organizes little things for me... but one of the nice little things about it is it gives me what they call an FTP space where I can load up my pictures and then post them here or on eBay.

It's easy, it's functional, and lazy Carl is totally good with it.

Up with AOL. I will probably have to leave the forum now and spend the rest of my days in hiding.

    Clankeye,
I am sorry to hear that you are part of the AOL cult, but there is hope even for you! I'll be praying for your soul.

Don - I had the same problem - go to webshots.com download their free little software and setup your own photo album. It works well.

Didn't you get a Photo Editor of some kind with the camera that you loaded, or was an option to load.

I got a Yahoo mailbox(Free), that I rarely use, with it comes a photo album area (Free).

You do need a photo editor and a couple can be found on cnet.comimage

Thanks for everyone's help. I found some other software that came with the camera and can use it to crop and resize photos.

Just like a 'math-guy' . . . . As my wife sez, "read the directions"!!! imageimageimage

Read the directions? Which book? Three of them came with the damn thing and none had 'resizing an image' in the index. Software documentation is a nightmare to read if you aren't a friggen computer geek. My apologies to all computer geeks.
